I love this place. Since I've found it, I won't go anywhere else. I have had a few different technicians and they are all fabulous. However, if I could use only two words, they would be: SUE TRAN! This woman does such a fabulous job on my nails, every time, and I'm always so delighted when I go. Her attention to detail is amazing. This picture looks like it's out of a magazine! Also, Victoria does my pedi and she never lets me down! She also takes special care of the cuticles and polish, so everything looks crisp. She truly takes pride in her work, and she's a delight. The location is charming, and they are always full so you should definitely schedule an appointment. The staff is always very polite and attentive, and they offer a variety of other services. ~ Sarah W

My family & I are from MS & are in Dallas this week for our son’s travel basketball tournament. I needed my nails done & decided to give Ulux a try. My husband, our 13 yo son & I walked in about 12:00 expecting to have to wait. Within 3 minutes we were placed in pedicure chairs. My husband got a deluxe pedicure, my son got the sports pedicure, & I got a classic pedicure & dip change on my hands. ALL of the people were smiling & polite. They did a fantastic job on all 3 of us. I’m not one to ever leave reviews but decided to do so since I am an out-of-towner and was treated like a “local regular”. Do not hesitate to go here!! The facility is so cute & super clean!! I will definitely come back if I’m ever in Dallas again!! ~ Lorrie H

Jessica has been doing my nails for two years. Despite having moved farther from ulux, I will always drive back every three weeks for my manicure. I typically get a basic gel mani (with tip usually ~$55) and occasionally one of the special designs (extra depending on design). I just got the cat eye gel and I’m obsessed. Jessica always does an amazing job. When I was getting the cat eye, she was completely done and putting cuticle oil on when she realized that the effect on one of my nails wasn’t quite the same and she stopped and redid the top coat of that nail. I hadn’t even noticed. She always makes sure my nails look perfect ✨ and Im always looking forward to nail day. (Update 04/27/2025- Jessica is no longer at Ulux and I have followed her to her new location [see reviews], but my 5 star rating for Ulux still stands) ~ Jamie A

Found this place through Yelp as I needed to get a quick mani/Pedi before the holiday party...and it did not disappoint. I called for an appointment and was able to stop by after my lunch meeting in Uptown. I was looking for a gel mani (~$43) and a regular Pedi ($33), and I was happy to see that they offer a matching nail color set for gel and regular polish. The process was efficient as you get both mani and Pedi done simultaneously. It is not something that I am used to in NYC, but it saved time! I had Renee for the gel mani and Tracy for the Pedi. Both ladies were very attentive and friendly. Parking was easy as I was able to find a spot right outside. ~ Cindy W

3/14 Update: Kevin, the manager called me right away after he knew about my experience at his salon and I must say I was quite surprised. He offered to give a new manicure and I must say the tech that I got the second time did a much better job. Outstanding customer service from Kevin and the rest of the staff. Thank you for making it a pleasant experience. I loved my manicure! 3/6 First time here and probably the worst dip manicure I’ve had. And I am not exaggerating. They got the color wrong first and I had to tell them, so they fixed that, but my nails look I would’ve done them myself. I do not recommend. I’ve paid less for a mani and had them done much better. ~ Myriam

As a Google reviewer, a company can catch my eye with a 5-star average on 44 reviews. Though, being a tad bit skeptic, I had to see for myself. As you can see, I too have given a 5-star review. The Experience started from the moment I called to schedule an appointment. On the phone I felt as though the young man with whom I scheduled my appointment genuinely appreciated me calling and look forward to my arrival. Keyword: genuinely. Not just politely. upon arrival I was greeted with a smile and only good vibes. The decor is chic and serene. it's also a great place for a group nail experience yes. They have a covered patio with a small lounge area and four chairs at a high table. Oh and yes, there is wine. Priced similarly to any other Salon I've been to, you will know that I have found my new salon. Thank you Ulux for a beautiful nail salon experience! ~ Kate C

One of the best manicures I’ve ever had. Vicky was my nail tech and she was incredible. I was visiting Dallas from KC and was unable to get my nails done ahead because of work. I also broke one of my nails trying to remove my old acrylic myself and it was pretty bad. Not only did Vicky execute my inspo picture PERFECTLY but she was also able to cover up my broken nail. She warned it might not last long but I didn’t care as long as I did t have to wear a bandaid all weekend. I've tried several nail salons in Dallas, and Ulux was recommended to me by a friend, and it is the best! I came in to get a dip manicure, and the next day I noticed that a few of my nails had cracked, and by the next day one had chipped. I called Ulux and asked if I could come get those nails fixed and they scheduled me for the next morning. When I went to get my nails fixed, Kin (who previously did my manicure), removed all my old dip (even the nails that hadn't cracked or chipped) and gave me an entire new dip manicure at no charge. I'm so appreciative and impressed by the service at Ulux and have recommended Ulux to all my friends! ~ Amy C

I visited this spa over the weekend during my visit to Dallas and I received a phenomenal pedicure from Kim that I just had to leave a review. She took her time and literally gave me the best pedicure I’ve ever received. Very polite and just took her time which really meant a lot to me. My husband waited outside for me as we were fresh off the plane and couldn’t check into our hotel just yet and he raved about how may times he noticed she was massaging my legs and how well the pedicure turned out. This place is the best! I called to make an appointment(which isn't necessary) and they were so nice and helpful from the beginning. Once I arrived they were friendly and thoughtful throughout the whole visit. I went for a pedicure and splurged on the "it's me time" package. This was absolutely worth it and if you can, I highly recommend the upgraded pedi. I have never felt so relaxed and my toes look so great!! The atmosphere is fun and relaxing and staff is so great. Even if you just want a quick pedi or mani, this is the place. I wish i could give more stars. ~ Kathleen V

Fantastic service! This was my first time going to any nail salon in Dallas. I searched for top rated salons and found this one. Decided to give it a try! My nail tech was very attentive and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was satisfied with the service. He was very precise with my nails. The front desk staff was very friendly also! Had a great experience coming here. I live in Uptown so it's literally about 5 mins from me which makes it so convenient. Customer service is excellent and I felt very comforted and welcome upon entering. I received a french rose gold ombre dip powder manicure, lavender pedicure and chin wax. I was so relaxed with the pedicure I could have fallen asleep. They were very accommodating and offered wine, water, etc. I loved my nails once completed and will definitely be returning. I’ve been coming to this place for well over 10 years now, and they have never let me down. I went to school in Los Angeles, & I remember going to Ulux during EVERY break/visit. They are all such sweet (& talented people. My current go-to ladies are Rosie & Diane, but I’ll still go even if they aren’t available - that’s how good all of the nail techs are. The Owner, Kim, is such a ray of sunshine & Joe, one of the managers, is a total sweetheart. 10/10 recommend! 🤍 ~ Victoria L

I used to get my nails done by Justin and I haven’t been in a while because I found a place closer to my house (Ulux is 40 mins from my house) so I called 4 days ago to book an appointment with Justin and they said I was good to go.. only to receive a text about an hour later that read: “Justin won’t take your appointment. We are unsure of the reason why but can we have someone else do your nails from now on?” I thought to myself, wow from now on?? Umm no. So I politely replied: “No, if Justin can’t do them please cancel my appointment. I know that I’m very picky when it comes to getting my nails done because I only have time to get them done once every 6 weeks. So of course I want to be happy with something I have to look at for 6 weeks. Plus, Justin is really funny and super cool. I thought we had built a little bit of a friendship.. I used to look forward to seeing him and having him do my nails. However, that text message left a VERY BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. I won’t be back. But if any of you ladies visit Ulux Nail Spa ask for Justin he’s the best at GelX (they last for 6 weeks) ~ Alondra S

Loving my nails! I had visited a different Nail Spa and had a traumatizing experience when they chopped my natural long nails off thinking I was going to get acrylic. Took me a long time to re-grow them and I'm happy to have tried Ulux. It was a very simple, to the point experience. I appreciate they asked me multiple times to confirm what I was getting and that it was extra. I guess they don't want people to be surprised at the end with payment. I went to ULUX once and that was all it took...this is hands down my new go-to place. The spa is very well done and very *clean* (this is big one for me). The staff are more than friendly and incredibly professional. My pedicure was one of the best I've had and I didn't feel rushed or like they were trying to get me out the door for the next customer. I was a visitor from Florida and this was Hands Down the best mani/pedi experience I have ever had. I received SO MANY compliments during my trip and when I got home. I was in and out in 1 hour. They gave you a full mani/pedi at the same time. Everyone was so nice! It was clean and very professional. Highly recommend In the Dallas area! It was my intention to set up a surprise for a friend who is a teacher and she very much needed a spa day. The place is immaculate, in a great area of downtown Dallas. It is staffed with some of the best professionals in the business. Their attention to detail was excellent, and the services are priced very affordably. I’ve been a patron of MANY nail spots over the years. This is by far my favorite. So many spots slack on the customer service and professionalism, not here. I am always treated well and walk out better than I came in with fabulous nails. Also, one of the few spots in Dallas where you can find Après GelX! I would give them six stars if I could! I went in for a mani pedi and ombre acrylics. Tina took good care of me and the customer service was worth 12 stars! The nails exceeded my expectations and I came in with a cut on my index finger. Tina was very careful and soooooooo sweet! I will never go anywhere else! I loved the variety of choices. I moved from Boston last year and was skeptical about new nail places. Ulux did not disappoint. Front desk staff are awesome! This place is always super busy but they always try their best to squeeze me in when I call last minute to book an appointment due to my busy schedule. I’ve been going here for a year now and have seen several different nail techs yet the quality has always been the same! Would highly recommend ~ Zaccia C

I came in for a pedicure and had a great experience. The customer service was excellent—everyone greeted me and checked in several times to see if I needed anything. I really enjoyed my pedicure and plan to come back for the full experience next time. I was a new customer but didn’t receive the 15% off that I saw online—so I’m not sure if that promotion is still valid. I was out of town and decided to get a manicure and a pedicure. Ulux Nail Spa was close so I visited on a Sunday. There was a short wait. Tina was my technician and she was very pleasant! She did an excellent job on my feet and I was so relaxed while getting my pedicure. The facility was very clean and the environment was relaxing. I think the prices were resonable and if I am in that area again I will definitely be back! ~ Mrs. T
